And not just because I'm forced. By reading I mean what I consider actual reading. Reading a novel from start to finish. It's kind of embarrassing that someone with my background doesn't read for fun. I'd feel like a fraud if I wasn't so successful in my literature classes even with the bear...
I need to remind my mom again I'd like to start tennis lessons. Though I've got no clue if there are even any that exist here atm.
What kind of messed me up with tennis (I forgot about it) is I started reporting for in-person work again recently and have been really busy with that, and idk when I'll have the time to play other than the weekends now.
Worst case scenario I can always do it next summer.
They all were forced to play by their parents at a really young age. Tennis was essentially the first thing they ever learned. It was not something they chose on their own because they were too young to make that kind of decision.
I don't have much respect for professional athletes because of this. They're all just privileged (aside from genetically) to be able to have the resources to grow up playing a sport, and being instructed in it professionally from shortly after they're able to walk. Even a lot of NBA players had parents forcing them into basketball programs before they even started school.
